A networking event designed for introverts (but welcoming to all)
If you’ve ever walked into a big open space, scanning the room for anyone — anyone (Bueller?) — you recognize… only to end up chatting about the weather, getting pitched, or wondering how to gracefully escape… you’re not alone.
Networking doesn’t have to feel that way.
What makes this different
Instead of surface-level small talk or pitch-fests, Business & Brews is:
Small + cozy: ~ 4 people per table
Guided by curated questions: so conversations go deeper than the weather and help you grow personally and professionally
Safe + energizing: designed for real connection and self-reflection
Who is this for?
This event is perfect for people who:
✔ Run a business and want to grow — personally and professionally
✔ Want to learn and share in meaningful conversations
✔ Want to connect with others in a genuine, low-pressure way
✔ And yes… who appreciate a great cup of coffee ☕(available for purchase at the counter)
Why come?
✔ Meet like-minded professionals without the pressure
✔ Walk away with meaningful connections, not just business cards
✔ Gain fresh insights about yourself and your business

Hosted by GRT Marketing and Omaha Watershed Collective

With over 20 years of marketing experience, I have had the privilege of working on many successful projects for brands like Anheuser-Busch, Charles Schwab, Fidelity Investments, and Nestlé Purina. I’ve also led the marketing department for a small medical business and collaborated with non-profits to help amplify their missions. Throughout my career, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, gaining invaluable insights into effective marketing strategies.
Working in these various roles—especially as head of marketing—gave me first-hand insight into the chaos business owners face when it comes to marketing. Everywhere they turn, businesses and agencies are pitching the “best,” “newest,” and “most foolproof” solutions ever.
With my background in marketing and a strategic mindset, I could filter out the noise and stay on track. But without that foundation, it’s way too easy to get distracted, overwhelmed, or stuck.
That’s exactly why I created the GRT Framework—and why I guide my clients through it. By following this proven, step-by-step approach, my clients can:
✅ Stay focused on what actually matters
✅ Ignore what doesn’t matter (goodbye, squirrels!)
✅ Stay consistent in marketing themselves
My mission is simple: to help service-based business owners simplify their marketing with a step-by-step plan, so they can attract more clients, gain confidence, and grow their business—without the overwhelm.

With a background in pastoral ministry, entrepreneurship and community/leader development I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside a broad spectrum of people, teams, and organizations in their growth. As a small business owner, (Myrtle & Cypress Coffeehouse), coach and facilitator (The Omaha Watershed Collective) I bring a vibrant toolbox to invest in people, solve real problems and create the future you envision.
Through my experience coaching small business startups I created the Concept Creation framework to help entrepreneurs articulate, test and develop their business concept. Once up and running, business leaders need a supportive community more than ever! The Small Business Learning Cohort is a mastermind style group that brings together 3-6 like-hearted business owners who help each other navigate the daily challenges of running a business.
I have worked with organizations like Ooh De Lally, No More Empty Pots, Artemis Tea & Botanical, Verdis Group and FullPrep.
I thrive in spaces that are creative, relational, and entrepreneurial. Whether I’m coaching an individual, facilitating a group, or strengthening the systems that support a team, my goal is always to meet people where they are and help them grow into who they’re becoming.
I’m also a self-diagnosed "personality" junkie, foodie, and hiking enthusiast who loves exploring big ideas with friends. At home, I’m married to Lisa—an incredibly compassionate, encouraging, and principled partner—and together we’re raising three wonderful kids: Norah, Brennen, and Lachlan.
Through all of these experiences, one theme has been consistent: people thrive when given the right tools, support, and connections. That’s what I love most about co-creating spaces like Business & Brews—helping business owners grow personally and professionally while making genuine connections along the way.
